DC Comics Presents: Superman & Santa Claus

Supes just the way we like him, in the kind of story they don't write anymore.
Len Wein, E. Nelson Bridwell, Curt Swan, Murphy Anderson and an ending guaranteed to make you smile.
Happy happy merry merry, and see you in the new year, gang.

... And All Through The House...

My first taste of EC comics came with this battered old copy of a 1965 reprint book I picked up at some point in the Bronze Age, which is all the excuse I need to post this, possibly EC's greatest Christmas horror story. Mlle. Marie

Mlle. Marie never really got a fair shake in the Bronze Age, appearing here and there but never really earning a title of her own. Maybe it was the boys own mentality of War books that made her less exciting to readers than Sgt. Rock or The Viking Commando, but that's exactly why I liked her. Sexy french babe fighting Germans for the Resistance? You betcha. Maybe we can get a time machine and get a young Juliette Binoche to play her in the movie.

Plus, Marie was drawn by Mad's very own Mort Drucker, being as great at serious adventure as he was at everything else. Here's The Battle Doll in two adventures from the back pages of Rock's book.
