The Kids From Rec. Road In: Sterankoesque

Well, it had to happen. This week, in our sister blog, Sean Phillips has convinced himself he's Steranko. Will the rest of The Kids From Rec Road support their best pal or mercilessly take the piss? What do YOU think?

While on Pete's Podium:

We ask: What's the dumbest comics related thing you ever believed? Me? I briefly thought that, in order to join F.O.O.M. you actually had to attend weekly meetings...
Can you beat that?
Tell all at kidsfromrecroad.blogspot.com - The World's Greatest Bronze Age comic strip not actually done in the Bronze Age!

The Kids From Rec. Road In Kids Of The Stones Pt. 18 And... How Have Things Changed?

Yes, cartoon me. Look! At this week's extraordinary episode of Kids Of The Stones, where it actually looks like we might heading for a rollickin' resolution to the saga any time this decade.
While over at:

We ask: How have things changed for us comic fans? Since the movies came along, and everybody in the world suddenly became card carrying Marvelites, have people actually stopped saying things like: 'You like comics?? But comics are for little kids!!'
Did we, as Marv Wolfman once suggested, actually WIN?
Join us over at kidsfromrecroad.blogspot.com and tell us your experiences, good or bad, then and now...

The Kids From Rec. Road In: Kids Of The Stones pt. 15 & YOUR favourite Supporting Character

This week, over at Rec. Road, something strange is happening every time we say our guest star Caroline Munro's name. Well, that's the '70's for you...
While over at:

We're talking supporting characters. Who's the one character you like nearly as much as the title star? I seriously doubt anybody's going to disagree with my choice, but you never know...

The Kids From Rec. Road Meet Caroline Munro AND Who Did You Miss Out On?

Yes, the rumours are true, fantasy film fans! This week, The Kids are joined over at Rec. Road by the lady we all fell in love with back in the Bronze Age, the incomparable Caroline Munro.

Will we turn into giggling goons the second she walks into frame? What d'you think?
While over at:

We're talking Who Did You Miss Out On? Which Bronze Age star totally passed you by at the time, who you now realize you should've been reading all along? Founder Kid Dave ( I bought a DC once, y'know ) Holman has picked his, now it's your turn.
Join us ( and Caroline ) over at kidsfromrecroad.blogspot.com

Have you seen the new variant Tiger-Man cover from Image? What's that? You didn't know Tiger-Man has actually been the best-selling hero in comics for decades? You haven't been to Rec. Road lately!
While over at:

We're talking contenders. Those characters you think really should've made it, but for one reason or another, didn't. We're picking ours, drop into kidsfromrecroad.blogspot.com and tell us who YOU think deserved a guest slot in Marvel Team-Up, followed by a series of their own...

The Kids From Rec. Road in: Children Of The Stones pt. 12 AND Superteams!

So basically, there's me, Lord Sean of Philbo & The Gargantuan Graham-Thing vs. a whole village of freaked out, 'Happy Day' spouting Children Of The Stones type loons. As superteams go, we're nearly up there with The Legion of Super Pets...

But who actually IS the best Superteam? And who's the worst? As always we're making our choices over at kidsfromrecroad.blogspot.com. Pop in and tell us which gang of costumed cut-ups you stand with...

The Kids Of Rec. Road In: Kids Of The Stones pt. 11 & Modern Comics

This week in Kids Of The Stones, it looks like me & Sean are the only people left in the creepy village of Milbury who haven't been brainwashed into grinning, 'Happy Day' spouting goons. But then, we always were a pair of miserable gits, me & him...
While at...

We're talking modern comics. Yes, Virginia, I DO buy modern comics! Do you as well, or are you as stuck in the Bronze Age as me?? What new stuff should we all be buying? Let us know, as always, at kidsfromrecroad.blogspot.com

The Kids From Rec. Road In: Kids Of The Stones pt. 10 & YOUR Favourite Character!

Calm down Sean, it's not like it's legendary TV character actor Freddie Jones' fault you're stuck in the time-warped village of Milbury, and everyone's falling under a strange, mind-controlling spell... or is it?
Find out in this week's episode of The Kids From Rec. Road: Kids Of The Stones, over to the right there as always.
While at:

We're asking the only question that matters around these parts: Who's YOUR all-time favourite comic character? And more importantly, WHY?
Read all, see all, tell all. Even if it's Iron-Jaw....

The Kids From Rec. Road In: Children Of The Stones pt. 9 & Things You Won't Accept

Just what are me & Sean recoiling in astonishment from? Only the most astounding event which will change everything you ever knew and will alter Rec. Road permanently and forever. Until next week, like every other comic event.
Meanwhile, over at ...

We're talking Krypto-Revisionism. What particular comic stories or 'arc's' struck you as so wrong-headed, so ludicrous, so just plain stupid that you don't just dislike them, but actually refuse to accept that they ever happened?
I reckon we've picked the all-time classic, and by the power of Krypto-Revisionism, the world of comicdom is now safe.
Find out what it is, and tell us yours, over at kidsfromrecroad.blogspot.com

Kids Of The Stones pt. 7 & The Scariest Comic / Film / TV Show Ever!

Uh oh, looks like the comic fan who gives us all a bad name, That Darn Arnold Lipshitz, is taking over at Rec. Road this week.
And as if that wasn't scary enough:

At this week's Pete's Podium, we're asking the all-important question:
What Comic, Film AND TV show scared the beejesus out of you when you were a kid?
I've picked mine, each one guaranteed to give you nightmares, but what about you all?
Join us at kidsfromrecroad.blogspot.com and 'fess up!

The Kids From Rec. Road: Pete's Podium Returns!

Yep, it's time for another Pete's Podium over at The Kids From Rec. Road, our semi-regular forum where we discuss the burning issues of the Bronze Age Of Comics.
This month, a double barrelled question:
What's that one comic or series by a creator you like, that came as a real disappointment?
And what's the one you expected nothing of, that came as a pleasant surprise?
As always, we'll be posting every comment & cover from everyone who joins in ( and it doesn't count if you comment here! ) so step over to Rec. Road to the right there, and join in...

The Kids From Rec. Road: What's YOUR All-Time Fave Bronze Age Comic?

This week over at The Kids From Rec. Road ( Just a swerve of the mouse to the right there as always ), a new feature: Pete's Podium! Where I actually shut up for five minutes, and ask you the searching questions of the day.
For instance: I'm happy to report that footfall over at The Kids' site is steadily increasing, and I know a lot of you are popping over from here, or have found us through our appearances in Comic Scene magazine, and most welcome you are.
But what about the rest of you? What are you into?
For instance, we know what our all-time fave Bronze Age comics are, mostly 'cos we've spent years arguing over and boring each other senseless about them.
But what's your all-time fave of all-time?
Drop in to Rec. Road and tell us; Why does your favourite belong in everybody's collection? And why does it mean so much to you?
We'll post every cover and personal story we get, so let us know.
There's no prize here, other than the satisfaction of saying to Rec. Road Assembled:
"This one! It's THIS one!! THIS is the greatest comic ever!!!"
And who doesn't love doing that...?
