A gorgeous piece now from the 2nd year of Heavy Metal. The story is, I suppose, a little slight and seems unfinished but, man alive, is the art beautiful.
It seems to be an example of the art trick beloved of the Spanish Warren artists, where you ink in heavy blacks, then scratch away with a thin blade endlessly, until you get atmospheric, haunting artwork impossible with pen or brush. I can't get enough of this sort of thing, personally.
