Dr. Deth With Kip & Muffy

Hey, who's up for some post-apocalypse knockabout fun? Dr. Deth ( with Kip & Muffy ) first appeared in the Violence issue of Bizarre Adventures, probably the best all-round issue of that short-lived follow on from Marvel Preview.
Dr. Deth isn't remotely big or clever, but courtesy of Larry Hama and Ralph Reese, it is more fun than is strictly legal.

  1. Great mix of fun and violence courtesy of Ralph Reese at his artistic best—in a cross between Wally Wood and Russ Heath. I think there was another Dr Deth story (at least I remember a Joe Jusko cover with these two reprehensible chicks). Typical of the sort of stuff that was done in the 80s all over Europe (bringing to mind the senseless sex and violence of Ranxerox who got the whole ball rolling).

  2. There was a colour sequel in the last issue of Bizarre Adventures, Diego, equally as fun. Dang, now I've got The Exploited's 'Sex & Violence' running round my head.

  3. Oh, and I think the Jusko cover you mean was The Savage Sisters, the mascots of Savage Tales v2. Talked about them in a previous post, but I think the only difference between them and Kip & Muffy was that the Sisters had bigger breasticles!

  4. Right you are! Even though I have every issue of Savage Tales, it's been years I haven't seen the mags, so it's nice to be reminded over here.
