Here's a literally fantastic piece from Paul Kirchner, the creator of The Bus. The style is still quite stiff in places, but that kind of works here, almost achieving the otherwordly look of something by Ditko. ( Although here we're obviously dealing with the imagery and concepts of an actual mythology from our world, which makes this a much richer work. ) It's hallucinatory, dreamlike and bloody bloody brilliant.
This is a beautiful story.I've always been interested in spiritual journeys and this definitally defined it.My great grandmother was from the Mohawk tribe up north in Canada. It's kinda funny, but this story also reminded me of a Simpsons episode in which Homer goes on a hallucinatory excursion.Maybe one of the writers read this story once and decided to make it in one of the plots.
Modern comics are all well and good, but let's be honest, the 1970's was the greatest era in comics' history. Fact.
Actually there were some pretty good movies, TV and books too while we're at it...

And if you've come here to read and talk comics, glad to have you aboard. If however, you're here to spam or advertise your scuba gear website, you're wasting your time, as your comments will be deleted the second I see them.
