Here's a great story from Creepy 73. Like all great short stories, you kind of wish it was a serial.
It's got an interesting, likeable hero, and is set in a fascinating, unique world that could easily be explored in future stories. Plus it's drawn by John Severin. One of the many things I like about Severin's art is his sound effects, which are fantastically cartoony compared to his ultra realistic art. He's legendary for making sure that every detail of every thing in his stories is exact, particularly when it comes to machines. If a John Severin character pulls a gun, you know that there's a real gun that looks like that, and John knows what it's called. But his sound effects always look like Harvey Kurtzman drew them. I love that.
