Shanna The She-Devil

Here's a couple of fun pieces. First off, a great little portfolio of everybody's favourite jungle queen by Tony DeZuniga.

Now, this is a rum old one. A Shanna story illustrated by DeZuniga, and written by Steve Gerber from the same issue of Rampaging Hulk. You could try being all post-modern about this, and say, well, what with Shanna wrestling snakes, being tied to altars, and skipping around the jungle in high-heeled boots, maybe Gerber was trying to do a parody of the ' good girl ' strip. You could think that, but you'd be wrong. This is cheesecake pure and simple, not to be taken seriously for a second, and none the worse for that.

  1. Some of the best art I've ever seen in a comic right there, buddy!
